Swiss-based startup YQuantum has received €161,000 (CHF 150,000) from Venture Kick to speed up the development of its miniaturised hardware for quantum computers.

Quantum computers could change fields like medicine, materials research, and finance. But building large and reliable quantum systems is still very hard. Big and complex equipment makes it hard to expand today’s machines and slows their commercial use.

YQuantum is tackling this problem by building smaller and more efficient cryogenic hardware that runs quantum systems at very low temperatures.
